Cryptocurrency was first introduced by Satoshi Nakamoto, a figure who is still anonymous to this day, through the digital currency Bitcoin in crypto in 2009. Satoshi Nakamoto published a whitepaper entitled "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System" in 2008, which explained the basic concept of blockchain technology and how Bitcoin could function as a decentralized digital currency.
Bitcoin is
the first cryptocurrency that is not controlled by any government or financial
institution, and transactions occur by a network of computers spread throughout
the world. Nakamoto's innovation became the foundation for the development of
various other cryptocurrencies.
Until now,
the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is still a mystery.
